Tested and working in V8 and V9 BETA
Update 1. 5:
Combat Emergency Repairs
Service Crew Repairs AIO now includes an optional Combat Emergency Repairs system.
This feature is designed as limited damage control during combat, not as full in-combat maintenance. When enabled, service crew can help stabilize a ship while it is under attack, representing internal emergency work such as sealing compartments, bypassing damaged systems, containing fires, and keeping the hull from falling apart.
Combat Emergency Repairs only apply in open space and only while the ship is in combat or has recently taken damage. Docked or parked ships still use the normal repair logic and can repair up to 100%.
The system is fully configurable in the Extension Options menu:
- Enable or disable Combat Emergency Repairs.
- Set combat repair strength separately for:
- Service Crew only
- Repair Drones only
- Service Crew + Repair Drones
- Set combat hull cap factors separately for:
- Service Crew only
- Repair Drones only
- Service Crew + Repair Drones
Combat hull caps are based on your existing field repair caps. This means emergency repairs can never exceed the field repair limit you already configured.
- L-class Service Crew only field cap: 70%
- Combat hull cap factor: 50%
- Effective combat emergency repair cap: 35%
Combat Emergency Repairs are disabled by default, so the previous behavior remains unchanged unless you enable the feature manually.
Repair drones remain mostly vanilla-friendly. The system does not replace vanilla repair drone behavior or turn service crew into full component repair teams during combat.
Update 1. 4:
A new in-game Extension Options menu allows you to adjust how Service Crew Repairs behaves per savegame. The default settings preserve the previous standard behavior, so existing players can update without changing the balance unless they actively adjust the options.
New configuration options include:
- Enable or disable Service Crew Repairs for AI ships.
- Separately enable AI S-ship repairs, disabled by default due to possible performance impact in large saves.
- Configure field repair hull caps for S, M, L and XL ships.
- Set separate hull caps for:
- Service Crew only
- Repair Drones only
- Service Crew + Repair Drones
Field repair caps only apply in open space. Docked or parked ships can still repair up to 100%.
Translations other than English and German were created with AI assistance; corrections and improvements from native speakers are very welcome.
