Skip Intro Movies - Remastered

Description

Skips the disclaimer, legal and logo videos every time you start the game, so you get to the main menu right away. Optionally it also skips the recap video shown when you start a new game and the narrated story recap video on loading screens when you load a save.

Made for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered (version 5. 00).

Installation instructions

1. Download and extract the archive.

2. Open your game's installation folder - the one that contains the "bin", "content" and "dlc" folders.

Steam: right-click the game in your library -> Manage -> Browse local files.

GOG Galaxy: select the game -> Manage installation -> Show folder.

3. Copy BOTH folders from the archive, "mods" and "bin", into that folder. The "bin" folder already exists there, just merge them (no game files are overwritten). If there is no "mods" folder yet, it will be created.

4. Launch the game. Scripts will recompile on the first start.

Updating from an older version: copy the new "mods" and "bin" folders over the old ones and confirm overwriting.

Uninstall: delete the "modSkipIntroMovies" folder from "mods" and the files bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\modSkipIntroMovies.xml and bin\config\base\modSkipIntroMovies.ini

Main features

- Skips the startup videos (disclaimers, legal, logo) on every game start

- New in 1. 2. 0 - optional: turn off the narrated story recap video on loading screens when you load a save (off by default)

- In-game settings in Options -> Mods -> Gameplay: three on/off switches, they work right away without a restart

- No changes to your save - safe to add or remove anytime

- The loading screen switch uses the game's own setting for loading screen videos. It needs the "bin" folder from the archive, without it the switch is not in the menu.

- Turning off the loading screen video does not make loading faster, the game loads in the background either way. You just no longer have to watch or skip the video.

Compatibility: the mod adds its own script file and replaces no game files, so it works together with other mods without merging. Fully compatible with all my other mods (Auto Loot Herbs, Infinite Horse Stamina, Reveal Map POI, Reveal Map Icons, Fast Travel Anywhere, No Level Requirements, Achievement Tracker).
