Special Keybindings for Quick Slot Items

Are you also annoyed by the quick slot mechanism of W3? I have more than two items that I would commonly use but only two quick slots and I also dislike the radial menu for frequent use. Here is the solution.

These mods are simple and light-weight. They use the bootstrap mechanism to initialize.

What use cases are currently supported?

  []The Bell of Many Things (another mod)

  []Magical (un)sheathing of weapons (Invisible Weapons) (another mod)

  How to install them?

  All mods can be used independently. Their installation all follow the same procedure.

  • []Install the inofficial Witcher 3 Mod Manager and Script Merger with the latest Patch if not done already

    []Install the Community Patch - Base and Community Patch - Bootstrap

    The Base Patch has to be copied into the core files, not the mod folder!

    It doesn't matter which of the two Bootstrap variants you use.

    You may install the registry but it is not required.

    My mods contain a mergable registry.

    []Use Script Merger to merge conflicts. Select A and B if asked for conflicts with the registry file.

    What layouts are preconfigured?

    PC Keyboard bindings are added but unconfigured by default. You can bind them in the respective W3 keyboard menu.

    Gamepad controller bindings are preconfigured as follows:

    • []The Torch is used by pressing long on the IK_Pad_RightThumb (the center of the right stick)

      []The Bell Stash is use by IK_Pad_RightTrigger in exploration

    • The weapons appear and disappear by pressing on the IK_Pad_RightThumb

      You might want to change these configurations if you don't use Gamepad Alternate as I do.

      To change the layouts of the mods, simply edit the key_bindings.txt in the zip file or edit the input.settings in your W3 user folder.

      If you use GamePad Alternate, here are the additional settings I used for the modGpadAlternatePlayer.ws file:
