📋 About This Mod
DESCRIPTION
From my N'Tak' Tweaks series: Camera / Horse / Music / Talks / Time,
These mods are meant to be lightweight and with minimal scripts merging impact, they affect only a few lines in the vanilla code.
The configuration is made user-friendly with an in-game menu, allowing to tweak as you wish.

N'Tak' Camera is designed to alter only the “main/exploration” camera. Zoom-in or out, vertical and horizontal offsets.
That's my perfect fit to alter only the main camera with minimal (or none) scripts conflict.
Ok, I admit I also “fixed” the Focus camera… If you setup the main camera to be on the left, the Focus camera will be as well !
Since v1. 2, I also want to reduce the motion sickness that can be caused by the game camera movements :
Camera bob effect is tweakable, and finisher camera animation can be disabled.
INSTALLATION, EASY PEASY !
⋅ Drop the content of the zip in your Witcher 3 installation directory.
⋅ Got other script-mods ? Use the Script Merger. There should not be many conflicts.
⋅ To use the configuration menu in Next-Gen, make sure to add the line "modNTakCamera.xml;" in the lists files (dx11filelist.txt and dx12filelist.txt) in the folder “bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\”.
CONFIG' MENU: TWEAK IT YOUR WAY
The mod adds the file modNTakCamera.xml to the “bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\” folder.
The config' menu can be found in-game, through the main menu → Options → Mods → N'Tak' Tweaks → Camera.
Check the screenshot of the configuration menu in the images section to see all the options.
→ A csv file is available in case you want to do the translation for your language.
WHY THIS MOD ?
I was preparing my next playthrough by installing a lot of mods !… Thanks to you all, you're amazing ! :-)
… And I wanted to bring the camera closer to Geralt for better immersion.
With currently ~200 mods installed, I needed something lightweight to prevent problems while merging scripts.
HudCloseCam was really close to what I wanted, but I didn't like the camera parameters values.
So, I started by tweaking the hard-coded values in the script, but it became annoying really fast to have to reboot the game each time.
Hard-coded values ? Meh. Config' menu ? Yay !
I finally created a menu, rewrote the code, and corrected the Focus camera… and decided to share my little piece of work with you, guys.
I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do !… :-)

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Lightweight and focused—doesn't mess with other cameras, just the one you use most.
- Config menu makes tweaking a breeze, no file editing required.
- Motion sickness relief is a godsend for sensitive players—bob and finisher camera tweaks are clutch.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in May 2023—might not be compatible with the latest game patches, so check before installing.
- Only affects the main/exploration camera, so if you wanted combat or vehicle camera tweaks, this isn't for you.
- No detailed documentation provided, so you'll have to experiment with the config menu to find your sweet spot.
For players who get motion sickness from camera bob or finisher cutscenes and want a simple fix. Also for anyone who wants fine-tuned control over the exploration camera without heavy mods. Skip if you need camera overhauls for combat or vehicles.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Use the config menu to disable the bob effect first—it's the most common motion sickness trigger.
- If you're on a mod manager, make sure to load this after other camera mods to avoid conflicts.
- Test the finisher camera disable in a boss fight to see if it improves your experience.
