📋 About This Mod
THIS MOD IS NOT NEEDED FOR LATER VERSIONS OF THE GAME
AS THE DEVS ADDED AN OPTION FOR THIS IN THE GAME ITSELF
Now also works when using ladders.
INSTALLATION Unpack the file to "YOURWITCHER3FOLDER\mods".
CODE Added the line "default allowAutoRotation = false;" to customCamera.ws. "SetAllowAutoRotation()" set according to variable in function "HardLockToTarget()" in r4Player.ws "SetAllowAutoRotation()" toggled between events "OnFinisherStart" and "OnFinisherEnd" in r4Player.ws

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 1,348 endorsements and 23,905 downloads
- Solves a specific annoyance for players who like to keep the camera where they left it
- Simple and lightweight—no bloat, just does what it says
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2016—may not be compatible with the latest Skyrim version or Special Edition
- Niche appeal—only useful if the auto-centering actually bothers you
For Skyrim players who find the automatic camera centering annoying and want full control over their view. Skip if you're fine with the default camera behavior or if you're playing on a version newer than what this mod supports.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2, just drag and drop the mod into your manager and enable it—no manual file placement needed.
- Since this mod is from 2016, check if you're playing the original Skyrim (not Special Edition) and ensure your game version is compatible, or you might experience issues.
- If you're not sure whether the mod is working, test by moving your camera and letting go—if it stays put, the mod is active.
