📋 About This Mod

THIS MOD IS NOT NEEDED FOR LATER VERSIONS OF THE GAME AS THE DEVS ADDED AN OPTION FOR THIS IN THE GAME ITSELF

DESCRIPTION This mod disables the automatic camera centering that happens when you stop controlling the camera yourself. With this mod you can actually take in all that beautiful scenery without bursting a blood vessel or two.

Now also works when using ladders.

INSTALLATION Unpack the file to "YOURWITCHER3FOLDER\mods".

CODE Added the line "default allowAutoRotation = false;" to customCamera.ws. "SetAllowAutoRotation()" set according to variable in function "HardLockToTarget()" in r4Player.ws "SetAllowAutoRotation()" toggled between events "OnFinisherStart" and "OnFinisherEnd" in r4Player.ws

TROUBLESHOOTING If you're having trouble might be a good idea to try these. http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/527/? https://www.reddit.com/r/witcher3mods/comments/3h44vx/for_anybody_having_script_compiler_errors_using/

💡 Beginner Tips

  • If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2, just drag and drop the mod into your manager and enable it—no manual file placement needed.
  • Since this mod is from 2016, check if you're playing the original Skyrim (not Special Edition) and ensure your game version is compatible, or you might experience issues.
  • If you're not sure whether the mod is working, test by moving your camera and letting go—if it stays put, the mod is active.
