📋 About This Mod

Description:

Have you ever wish that you could use Ciri's vanilla and DLC costumes in a single playthrough, without having to manually toggle the DLC option on/off? Well, now you can. In my opinion, Ciri's vanilla costume symbolizes teen, youth, and purity, while her DLC costume symbolizes maturity, fierceness, and determination. So when the costume transitions over, you can see her character goes through those changes, too. Of course, that's just my thought. You don't have to agree with it. :)

Taking inspiration from a relatively similar mod by Ryunaito, I built upon that using a different method to extend the duration which she wears her DLC costume and made it more dynamic. Her special attack's phantoms also change costume to match her!

This mod will automatically change Ciri's vanilla costume to her DLC version after the Battle of KM. Basically, she'll wear her vanilla costume (and its _dirty and _wounded variants) for all her flashback scenes all the way to the end of the Battle of KM. As soon as Geralt and her are heading out to see Emhyr or do the Bald Mountain questline and everything afterward, she'll switch to her DLC costume appearances. See the timeline picture for more indepth info on what she wears throughout the game (warning: there may be some spoilers).

Special thanks KoalaNalle for all the help!

P. S. There are also Dynamic Costumes for Triss and Yennefer mods, too!

Known issue(s)/Limitation(s):

-Ciri's Toussaint appearance will work correctly if you have not seen the cutscene where Geralt meets her in his house. But if you already have a save file where you met her at your house prior to installing this mod, she will always have vanilla appearance.

-Ciri's will appear correctly in the cutscenes with Fugos at the Bald Mountain if you have not started the questline. But, if you already have a save file at Fugos cave prior to installing this mod (and BASE), then she will appear in a random, incorrect appearance for the Fugos cutscenes.

Compatibility:

This mod is compatible with any costume mod that uses assets replacement but won't be compatible with character entity edit mods and most likely DLC edit mods (unless the DLC edits make use of w3app to change her new appearances I introduced).

This mod modified the following files (via BASE), so it won't be compatible with mods that also modify these:

characters\npc_entities\main_npc\ciri.w2ent

quests\main_npcs\cirilla.w2ent

quests\main_npcs\community_files\cirilla.w2comm

dlc\bob\data\quests\main_quests\quest_files\q705_epilog\spawnsets\q705_ciri.w2comm

characters\player_entities\ciri\ciri_phantom_fx.w2ent

...and related scene files.
