In vanilla game after you run out of food item equipped in the quick slot the next food item picked by that slot would not be the best food from your inventory, but instead the very first edible thing game could find. Usually that would be a bottle of water. This leaves you with having to reenter inventory each time looking for a better food to equip. This mod makes the game to choose the best food from you inventory (instead of the very first one) once you run out of food in your quick slot.
Made on 1. 32 GOTY (other versions not tested).
