Beeswax

Adds beeswax from player beehives and wild nests. Equip it and coat wood, hardwood, and wood iron pieces to keep rain and standing water from wearing them down.

What you get

• []Beeswax — a heavy lump of wax from the hive. Stacks to 30 by default.[/]

  []Player beehives — produce beeswax alongside honey, about 30% slower. Each cycle gives 2 wax (up to 10 stored in the hive).[/]

  []Wild nests — breaking a world-spawned bee nest drops 1 beeswax.[/]

  []Waterproofing — equip beeswax, look at a coatable piece, and left-click to apply. Costs 1 wax per piece. Works on wood, hardwood, and wood iron poles/beams.[/]

  []Waxed look — waxed pieces can show a warm glossy tint (on by default). Turn visuals off in config to use hover labels instead.[/]

  No crafting recipe — wax only comes from bees.

    How to use

    • []Equip beeswax from your inventory or hotbar.[/]

      []Look at a wood, hardwood, or wood iron piece.[/]

      []Left-click to apply wax.[/]

      Waxed pieces are protected from rain and water damage. With default settings, waxed wood shows a glossy look. While holding beeswax, waxed pieces show Already waxed when hover text is enabled.

      Install with Vortex (recommended)

      • []Install Vortex and set up Valheim.[/]

        []Make sure BepInExPack Valheim is installed.[/]

        []Download and install this mod through Vortex.[/]

        []Deploy and launch Valheim through Vortex.[/]

        Manual install (BepInEx)

        • []Install BepInExPack Valheim if you do not already have it.[/]

          []Extract the download and copy Beeswax.dll into your Valheim BepInEx/plugins folder (for example BepInEx\plugins\ModdedWolf-Beeswax\).[/]

          []Optionally copy config\ModdedWolf. Beeswax.cfg into BepInEx\config before first launch.[/]

          []Launch Valheim through BepInEx (or your mod launcher).[/]

          After the first launch, settings are created at:

          Valheim\BepInEx\config\ModdedWolf. Beeswax.cfg

          You can also edit them in Vortex under the mod's config tab.
