EzShaft — Drag Power Shafts Straight Through Solid Ground The sister mod to EasyTube, for power. Drag the Power Shaft or Vertical Power Shaft tool through a hillside; EzShaft tunnels each cell, lays the path inside, and orchestrates construction in a safe order so your beavers always have a way back out. Aboveground placement is untouched. Underground placement just... works now. What it does Drag the shaft tool into solid terrain. EzShaft detects the underground portion, shows a live preview of the tunnels that'll be dug (visible through the terrain), and once you confirm, the mod takes over: Tunnel — explodes the terrain, one cell at a time Path inside horizontal Power Shaft cells — so beavers can actually walk in Shaft placement — drops the blueprint at each cell Build order — farthest-from-exit first, so there's always a walkable path back to fresh air No more digging the wrong cell first and stranding a beaver. No more manual platform cleanup after each tunnel. One drag, one click. Features Underground drag preview — see exactly which cells will be tunnelled before you commit, even deep inside cliffs. Safety-aware build order — shafts are placed farthest-from-exit first using a breadth-first search from the open end. A worker never tunnels themselves into a dead-end. Hold SHIFT to keep the mine platform — by default the floor under a horizontal Power Shaft is demolished after the tunnel. Hold SHIFT during placement to leave the platform intact (useful when you're building a shaft floor + power line in the same drag). Vertical Power Shafts don't have a floor, so the hint is hidden for those. Both shaft types supported — Power Shaft and Vertical Power Shaft, both factions. Save/load safe — active jobs persist across saves; phases re-derive cleanly from world state on load. Non-invasive — aboveground shaft placement passes through completely unchanged.
