Star Skills - Skill Consolidation and Improvements

What This Mod Is NOT

Weird to put this first. But I want to set expectations from the get go.

This is NOT Enaifield. This is not Simonfield. Both of those individuals make Masterpieces. Maybe one day I will too. But this is not that day. This not a broad, sweeping overhaul of every perk/skill in Starfield. There are no custom scripts. No fancy powers and abilities. This is the sort of mod you'd maybe expect in the first week of the Creation kit.

What this mod IS:

Star Skills is a mod that seeks to do two things: Create logical progression through Skill trees, and consolidate perks in order to leave MORE room on the skill trees for OTHER MODS to add to. (Because, yes, we CAN have multiple skill mods, and they are super easy to make). Moreover, Star Skills changes those skills with which I am familiar...and leaves others alone.

Here are some examples of what to Expect:

More Support for Melee and Unarmed:

Boxing is now 'Martial Training' and buffs damage for BOTH.

Duelist has been moved into the Physical tree, in Advanced, and also buffs BOTH styles of combat

Martial Arts benefits to Unarmed now also apply to melee, to the greatest extent possible.

Consolidation of overlapping skills, such as :

-Fitness and Wellness

-Cellular Regeneration and Decontamination

-Stealth and Theft

-Commerce and Persuasion

Social Archetypes. Progress from Leader/Loner/Persuader to more skilled Diplomat or Negotiator in a mostly logical progression:

-Gastronomy is unchanged

-Persuasion now also covers Commerce benefits

-Leadership is now a Basic skill. Begin your progression to Captain or Outpost Manager Day 1.

-Isolation is now also Basic. Be an introvert and benefit from it right from the start

-As a tradeoff, it takes longer to get to Negotiation and Diplomacy now, than previously, as you need to refine social skills to do so.

Logical Combat Progression

Get certified on all normal weapons in the Basic area, and enjoy vastly reduced kill count grinds in the process (just because games eventually make you a mass murdered, doesn't mean in game challenges need to remind us of that every Skill tier):

Pistols, Rifles, Shotguns and Lasers, ALL here. Shotgun certs also increase range at max level, to help make these weapons more relevant.

Gun Nut (Formerly Ballistics): Advanced skill that boosts your damage with ALL guns.
