This is the original DerreTech Legacy mod, with all unique ship habs, structural components, cockpits, and other parts (plus a few that were hidden in the original). It has been updated for compatibility with the latest Starfield and streamlined for performance and release on XBox and Playstation. The original content, appearance, and functionality remains unchanged in order to deliver an authentic experience, with minor changes and quality of life features only to ensure compatibility with the latest game features.
It has also been modified so it can be used along side the newer DerreTech mod for greater ship building options while keeping compatibility with existing Legacy patches (see Conflicts & Patches). You can install this and the new DerreTech you will have all the parts from the original AND the new versions.
The following process was used to convert the original DerreTech Legacy to an independent mod for game version 1. 11. 36+:

[]Added missing ship decoration panel to the M17x (Starborn salvage), Kon-Tiki B-700, and SM373 cockpits, as well as placeholders for the hidden ship terminals (used by some mods).[/]

[]Removed unused references significantly reducing overall file size/footprint with zero impact on play.[/]
[]Converted loose files to . BA2 (major performance improvement) and repackaged for XBox and Playstation as well as PC.[/]
[]Other minor tweaks (earlier level unlocks for some weapons, parts at all ship building locations, etc.).[/]
INITIAL RELEASE:

[]Used SF1Edit to modify the Static and Moveable Static . NIF paths to DerreTechLegacy instead of DerreTech.[/]
[]Used SF1Edit to rename ship builder parts to include "L1" designation so they can be easily differentiated from the new mod's parts.[/]
[]Changed the data folder mesh path to DerreTechLegacy to match the above edited . NIF paths avoiding conflicts with the new mod.[/]
[]Slightly offset the ship builder menu sort order to avoid a bug where identical sort numbers from the new DerreTech mod cause parts not to show.[/]
[]Ran the mod through jmpz11's Starfield .nif Mesh Path Migration Tool for SF 1. 11. 36.[/]
