📋 About This Mod
Description
After the recent Stardew Valley Expanded 1. 15 update introduced some new items, Cornucopia - More Crops quickly released a couple of compatibility updates that allowed mods with conflicting item names to be used together. In most cases, this compatibility update removed duplicate items, which may cause some issues with bundles or other mods or recipes that require certain items. I thought back to this same issue w/ Cornucopia - More Flowers, and how it renamed the Rafflesia flowers added by both mods to be distinct and let them both exist together as different breeds of the same flower. So, I thought I'd do the same with the conflicting items between SVE, Cornucopia's suite of mods, and Wildflour's Atelier Goods too, allowing all items with overlapping names to be used together.
With that, this compatibility patch was born. All items across all mods remain in the game and available to grow, sell, add to bundles, cook with, gift, etc. The only difference is the display name of conflicting items have been updated to remove the conflict between similarly-named items. These renames will apply to the fruits/vegetables/artisan goods themselves, their seeds/saplings, and any recipes that use these ingredients, to clearly indicate what's going on, and delineate between the 2 conflicting items. I've also added machine rule compatibility, where applicable, to allow these mods to play together better. For example: SVE Cucumbers can be used in a Preserves Jar to make Cornucopia Pickle Spears.
Additionally, in all cases, I attempted to come up with fun, interesting, realistic or lore-friendly ways to rename items, be it match up actual breeds of fruits/vegetables with real-world counterparts that match their image, description, and harvest season, or refer to in-game lore and existing descriptions. I admittedly didn't spend too much time trying to perfectly align these things, but hey, it should be fun regardless!
All mods supported by this mod are optional, but will always rename items with potential conflicts. That means you can use this mode to remove all conflicts between any set of supported mods you have, and you can opt out of any other supported mods you don't want (for example, you can use this w/ SVE and Cornucopia, but you don't need Wildflour or Bonster's). That also means, however, if you end up using a subset of mods that doesn't actually produce a conflict (again in this example, Sapodilla comes w/ Cornucopia and Bonster's, but since you don't have Bonster's, you won't have a conflict) it will rename the items anyway. This is to both simplify the implementation of the renaming, as well as to always allow any number and combination of conflicting mods to be used together for maximum flexibility and ease of use. Basically, if you have a supported mod installed, it'll rename the items, period.
Also, this supports i18n translations.
