Miihau's Events- Gender Neutrality Tokens Patches

This mod is a patch, not a standalone file. You MUST download Miihau's Event Expansion mod(s) to see the events. This mod only works with Gender Neutrality Tokens Mod from Hana, you will get vanilla gendered dialogue if you do not have it.

I love Miihau's event mods, and reached out a while back to ask about if he intended to add a Gender Neutral version. He told me that he wasn't sure he had time for that, but that others were welcome to upload a Gender Neutral translation the way that they would other language files. So, after some fiddling, i've done exactly that!

This mod still works as expected as of January 2026!

How does it work?

This mod is a collection of the files from Miihau's event mods that needed changing to work with Gender Neutral Mod Tokens, without any event files that were untouched. You do not need to overwrite Miihau's mod to use this one! You must still download Miihau's mods to see events!

Gender Neutrality Mod Tokens adds a config that allows you to set multiple pronouns, nouns, adjectives, etc for NPCs to use in reference to the player. You can list options separated by a comma, and the code will randomize between your listed choices. You can use this for more than just nonbinary or neopronouns! use it to set your body type to female and be gendered as male, or to have all npcs use "your majesty" instead of sir, or to change the nicknames used by your partner/roommate...

When you use this mod alongside one of Miihau's event expansion mods and GNMT, this mod will change the gendered language in Miihau's mods to whatever you've set in the config of GNMT.

After reaching out to Airyn, I've also added support for DSV's nonbinary Abigail and Emily settings- when you use this mod alongside DSV and you've enabled DSV's nonbinary settings for these NPCs, dialogue added by Miihau's mods will align with how DSV handles those NPCs being gendered. This does not 100% change these characters pronouns to they/them. DSV approaches these characters being gendered differently based on the NPC's relationships with the farmer and with other NPCs for a more immersive experience. Pierre will still use she/her for Abigail at lower heart levels. However, it has removed all instances of the farmer using she/her for either of these NPCs when the relevant settings are toggled in DSV, as a matter of personal preference.

If you uninstall or disable GNMT you do not need to uninstall or disable this mod. It will detect that GNMT is no longer available, and revert to the gendered code from Miihau's event mod as normal.
