📋 About This Mod
Open a shop, decorate it, and sell your stuff to the townsfolk!
Setting up the Shop
To have a shop, you need a cash register and a farm building (e.g. a Shed).
The cash register can be purchased from Robin's shop, or acquired through an event with Willy at the fish shop once you earned 25000g.
Place down the cash register in a valid farm building and interact with it to get started.
To put something out for sale, place the item on a (furniture) table. It must be reachable from the building's entrance in order to be sold.
Besides having the goods, you also want to have an appealing store. This directly boosts the overall multiplier on sell prices.
Shop bonus is evaluated in 2 ways:
-
[]Decor earned by having non-table and non-rug furniture, plus certain craftables (Scarecrows, Indoor Pots, Mannequins, Mini-Jukebox).
[
]Rug/Floor earned by covering the floor with rugs, paths, grass, crops and bush. You can check your current bonuses with the in-game decor bonuses menu.
Shopkeeping
After you open the shop for sales, the farmer will move behind the cash register while customers walk in to browse and buy things.
When a customer decide on a purchase, the haggling menu appears and you'll have to hit a good price by clicking at the right time.
Going above the target may result in the customer increasing their offer, but you must ultimately hit below their offer in order to make a deal happen.
You have 3 tries to give them a good price, if you fail the purchase ends. Regardless, the customer will leave the shop thereafter.
There's a limited number of customers each round, and once they all bought or gave up on something, they will leave the shop.
Initially you only get 4 customers per round, this can be increased via upgrades.
Shopkeeping is a strenuous activity. It costs 10 energy to begin a session, and every haggle costs 4 energy.
