So here are the item improvement suffixes from Skyrim that we all know and love:
These only cover six levels and are not linguistically clear on ranking.
This is addressed by the Improvement Names Customized mods, by default, by replacing the names with the following:
Astonishing
Unbelievable
Unimaginable
Mind-Boggling
This at least lets us have different words for sixteen levels rather than six. However, the chosen words don't feel particularly immersive and we still lack clarity on ranking.
Thankfully, those mods' configuration can also be customized. My own customization here combines clear numbers with the ten improvement names from The Elder Scrolls: Blades as follows:
+2 (Superior)
+3 (Remarkable)
+4 (Exquisite)
+5 (Magnificent)
+6 (Flawless)
+7 (Exemplary)
+8 (Sublime)
+9 (Majestic)
+10 (Mythical)
... and for a modicum of thoroughness, configuration is included all the way through what is documented as the maximum legitimately achievable improvement (even though the word "Mythical" simply repeats):
