Twenty-five-year-old Elaine Hobbs Randall was the loving wife of an Imperial Army officer.  She and her husband, Centurion John Edward Randall, had been in the Army for a little over six years, and they were vastly enjoying their military and matrimonial adventures.

She and John had gotten married when Elaine was nineteen and John was twenty-two.  They'd waited to be married until John graduated from the Imperial Military Academy.  Two days after John was presented with his Centurion's pips, their wedding was held in the academy's historic temple.  After the memorable, candlelit, evening ceremony, the newest Mrs. Randall proudly walked out of the grand stone structure on the arm of her handsome young husband, Elaine resplendent in her fashionable white silk wedding dress and John martially handsome in his crisply tailored Mess Dress uniform.  Elaine was thrilled by sight of the smartly uniformed Honor Guard, each man one of John's classmates.  As the the newlyweds approached, the just-commissioned young officers popped to attention and smartly raised their swords, creating a shiny steel arch for the newlyweds to pass under.  When they exited the archway, the delighted young couple paused only briefly at the end of the walk, waiting for their hired coach-and-four to roll to a stop.  All the while, their laughing and joshing well wishers had pelted them with hand-tossed showers of wheat, rye, and barley grain.

Upon their return to Whiterun, after a delightful month-long honeymoon in the north of Skyrim, Centurion Randall proudly carried h
