Resident Evil Village Shadow of the Blood

Resident Evil Village: Shadow of the Blood is a preset you’ll either love or hate due to its strong emphasis on shadow play, which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. This preset brilliantly highlights the best aspects of the game while concealing elements that stand out less favorably. For example, players with GPUs that have limited VRAM (like mine) and can’t crank up texture settings will still benefit from this preset. By using sharpening effects, character models look better despite lower texture resolutions.

Through a few techniques, I managed to significantly enhance warm tones while reducing the saturation of blue tones. This creates a cold atmosphere in the village outdoors, while the castle feels warm yet deeply ominous. OLED monitor users will fully appreciate the potential of their display panels. Additionally, the preset only takes about 5 FPS on average; I haven’t observed any major drops beyond that.

To install the preset along with the shaders, place them in the game’s main directory. Here’s the Steam folder path:

C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Resident Evil Village

Make sure to install ReShade beforehand, preferably version 6. 3. 3, to avoid any unwanted issues.

The mods I use in the game for characters are:

• []Miranda Fallen Angel and the versions for Dimitrescu’s daughters by creator alphaZomega.

[]Lady Dimitrescu has the Naked Alcina Dimitrescu Long Hair Wet mod by TrieuPham, published by rt134.
