Enable Aim Assist in Leon Must Die Forever (LMDF)

Description

Rank 2+ of Leon Must Die Forever silently disables aim assist. This mod circumvents that and will use the aim assist preference you set in the main settings menu (note: you have to do this before starting a run in LMDF, since Capcom hides fully hides it in the UI)

Main features

C++ plugin, not a LUA script - zero gameplay performance cost. Runs once at startup to patch a few bytes, then nothing!

DISCLAIMERS

- can't hot reload (DLL vs LUA script)

- first time using C++ to create a DLL, please reach out if you find any bugs

- not tested with Insanity mode - doesn't work in story mode

Installation instructions

Option A - Fluffy Mod Manager (recommended)

1. Install REFramework and enable Loose File Loader on first launch

2. Add `aim_assist_in_lmdf.zip` to Fluffy Mod Manager and enable it

3. Launch the game, set aim assist in the main settings menu, then start your LMDF run

Option B - Manual

1. Install REFramework (see Requirements)

2. Extract `aim_assist_in_lmdf.zip` and copy `reframework\plugins\aim_assist_lmdf_plugin.dll` into your game's `reframework\plugins\` folder

3. Launch the game, set aim assist in the main settings menu, then start your LMDF run
