📋 About This Mod
So after some tweking, I finally feel like my eyes doesnt have to force themselves to focus on whats happening on the screen (so as a plus, I can say this preset is a quality of life mod for those who were suffering of eyestrain and dizziness while playing the game?)
How to install: Download reshade then to double click on it, select bio4.exe (the path where RE 4 is), choose Direct 3D 9 and install ALL RESHADE PACKAGES except the old legacy standard (the last at the bottom, uncheck that if its checked)
here is a step by step set of images on how to do it
Then, go to the RE4 path or directory and in copy and paste the RE4EV.txt right where the bio4.exe is (so reshade can easily access it without having to make a new path), then copy and paste the lut.png inside reshade-shader\texture (replace the lut with the one I provided) and you are done. Now, just launch the game, open the reshade menu with the Home button and skip the tutorial if you want, then go to the drop down menu and select RE4EV.txt, enjoy.
In the options menu inside the game set the anti-aliasing to 8 (for some reason if you set it to none, the game becomes brigther despite having the brigtheness set to zero in the brigthenness menu)

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- 170 endorsements show the community digs it
- 3,224 downloads prove it's been tried and tested
- Fixes the 'brown filter' so you can actually see what's happening
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2021, so it might not work with the latest game patches
- Requires Reshade, which can be a hassle to set up if you're new
- Preset may not suit everyone's taste—some might prefer the original look
This is for players who find the original RE4 color palette too brown and hard to read, especially in dark or cluttered scenes. If you want a clearer, more vibrant look without overhauling the game, this preset is a quick fix.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have Reshade installed and set up for RE4 before adding this preset.
- Adjust the preset's intensity in-game if it feels too strong or too subtle for your monitor.
