📋 About This Mod
Add weapon, armor and shield drops to most human enemies
Description
What always got me is that you can wipe out a camp of armed men — one with a shotgun, one with a rocket launcher, the fat one hauling a gatling gun — loot every body, and walk away with a Pal Sphere, some pocket change and a treasure key. Apparently none of them were carrying anything.
This is my attempt at a solution. Kill the guy with the rifle, you might actually get the rifle now. All 87 human types are covered, each matched to the weapon it's actually holding.
The part I spent the most time on is making the gear worth picking up. Every weapon and piece of armor scales with the enemy's level across nine bands, and it's tuned to sit about one step past what your own bench can manage at that point — a makeshift rifle early, the assembly-line version in your thirties, the real thing after that. Loot you could already build isn't loot, it's vendor trash with extra steps. If you run a level scaling mod the two stack fine: your enemies follow your level, their gear follows theirs.
Weapons only ladder inside their own family, so rifle carriers drop rifles and shotgun carriers drop shotguns. Flamethrowers, gatlings and rocket launchers are the exception. Those drop off whoever is hauling one at whatever level you meet them, because you won't be making that ammo for a long while yet. Enjoy it while the magazine lasts.
Ammo comes with the gun, at least a magazine and never more than three. Armor is a chest piece, a helmet or a shield, and the better-organized factions wear better kit than roadside bandits do, so an elite Viking is worth more of your time than some guy with a bat. A little Dog Coin off everyone, Bounty Proof off ordinary enemies, and real bounty targets keep the game's own payouts. Clear a normal camp and you'll leave with roughly a weapon and a piece of armor, two on a good run. The oil rigs pay better, for obvious reasons.
Base raiders are deliberately untouched. They arrive five to ten at a time and these rates would bury you in guns inside a week. They keep their vanilla drops. Faction materials, treasure keys, Pal Spheres, medicine and cash all stay where vanilla put them. Food I stripped out, purely so you stop hauling grilled herbs home from every firefight.
Manual Installation
1. PalSchema Installation
🔹 Install PalSchema. Follow the official PalSchema installation instructions for further guidance. Skip this step if you already have it installed.
2. UE4SS Installation
🔹 Install the latest experimental UE4SS. Skip this step if you already have it installed.
3. Mod Installation
🔹 Open your Palworld installation directory. On Steam, you can right-click the game, select Manage > Browse local files. Should be similar for other platforms.
🔹 Download the mod. The files in the zip are already structured to drop right into the Palworld folder.
🔹 After extracting, check that you have the following structure:
📁 Palworld
. . └── 📁 Binaries

Uninstall
Delete Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\PalSchema\mods\SpoilsOfWar\
Drop tables are read at load and nothing is written to your save, so it's safe to add to a game in progress and safe to pull back out again. Everything returns to vanilla.
Compatibility
This rewrites the drop tables for human enemies, so another mod editing those same rows will conflict and whichever loads last wins. Pal drops aren't touched at all, so it runs happily alongside my own Paltheon: Idols of Palpagos.
Requirements
PalSchema
Credits
This mod was heavily inspired by TechMedic's Humans Drop Weapons. Their mod was the original inspiration and starting point for this, I rebalanced it and then expanded the loot distribution far beyond the original.
