📋 About This Mod

Removes a lot of unnecessary load time when fast travelling or transitioning between areas. How it works The game typically waits for a fade-out animation to finish before it teleports the player, and inversely waits for a several fade out/world partition events before it gives control back to the player and reveals the game. This mod removes the fade-in and fade-out while also restoring control to the character controller/common UI much earlier. It still waits for a level streaming completion event to fire before doing so, but you should still notice that fast travelling is much snappier. Loading/streaming logic is completely unchanged, so hopefully this shouldn't break between updates. FAQ Q: Does this require UE4SS? A: No, it's dependency free. Q: Will this work in multiplayer/dedicated servers? A: Yes, provided that the server allows modded clients. Note that this mod does not need to be installed on the server for it to work. Q: Does this mod affect save games at all? A: Not to my knowledge. I've personally added/removed this multiple times while developing and using one test save without issues. It's a simple UI tweak, so it shouldn't affect much at all. Though I would always recommend backing up what you're not prepared to lose. Q: I'm not really noticing much difference. A: That's not a question, but I'll explain anyway. This mod only removes the fade time and shortens the time between "loading finished" delegates/callbacks fire in the fade in UI. You're only going to save time on the fades, the actual loading logic is untouched. What this means is, this only really makes a difference if your load times are already fairly short (i.e, you're playing on a decent PC). For those whose actual load times were already slow, this won't make much difference because the fade time will make up a smaller percentage of your total load time. Hopefully that clarifies things. In my opinion, it's still worth having whether or not your load times are already relatively shorte
