Know the boundary before you build.

Palbox Surveyor previews Palworld's real Palbox boundary at any candidate base location. It copies the native two-layer blue Palbox circle, follows you while scouting, locks to the terrain for inspection, and reports your horizontal distance to the visible edge.

Version 0. 1. 7 — mounting fix, 5 September 2026

The Surveyor now stays active when mounting or dismounting a Pal. FOLLOWING and LOCKED modes are retained through the transition, and a locked survey keeps its chosen center. The mounting fix was confirmed in-game on Windows/Steam with UE4SS 3. 0. 1 Beta #0, Git SHA ba2efd55. This update also improves local-session cleanup and recovery when player or circle objects are briefly unavailable.

Fully close Palworld before updating, allow the old mod files to be replaced, and restart. Back up custom config.lua settings before replacing the supplied configuration.

Previous utility check — 1 September 2026

Version 0. 1. 6 loaded cleanly on Windows/Steam with the 28 August Palworld-specific UE4SS build, Git SHA ba2efd55. The player-controller hook, HUD projection hook, Page Up FOLLOWING/OFF control, Page Down lock/release control, radius lookup, center-marker submission, world-transition cleanup, and clean shutdown all operated without a Palbox Surveyor error.

This current-utility check used a brand-new save before any Palbox instance or native AreaRange template had been loaded. In that state, Surveyor correctly remained in safe visual-waiting mode instead of drawing a guessed perimeter. Progress far enough to load or place a Palbox, or test on an established save containing one; Surveyor retries automatically. The complete native 35. 0 m ring and visible-edge behavior remain covered by the original full acceptance test on UE4SS Git SHA c838a8ac.

A startup crash under the new UE4SS pair was separately reproduced with an older, pre-2. 1. 3 MapCollectablesNative native DLL and disappeared when that build alone was disabled. Map Collectables Overhauled 2. 1. 3 is now available, including a separate package labeled for the latest UE4SS. Install the current file matching your UE4SS line first; if Palworld still crashes before the title screen, temporarily disable it for one launch as an isolation test.

These are tested-version statements, not claims that every other UE4SS version is supported.

Installation

Do not hot-reload between Palbox Surveyor versions. Fully restart Palworld after replacing its files.

Tested scope

The initial release passed focused single-player runtime validation on foot and while mounted. The copied ring matched the real Palbox circle, the locked counter reached ON BORDER at the visible line, no hitching was observed, and the inspected log contained no Palbox Surveyor errors.

Multiplayer and dedicated-server support have not been validated and are not claimed by this release. Controller handling is intentionally disabled and unassigned; keyboard operation is the validated path.
