Bulk Ranch Drops - ten times lazier ten times bigger

The problem

A ranch pal drops its items one at a time, every 50 to 80 seconds. Every single piece of wool becomes its own object on the ground, and every one of them is a separate errand for a transport pal.

With a few ranches running, transport pals spend the day twitching between single items next to the ranch instead of covering the rest of the base.

This mod stops the pieces from being separate in the first place.

The fix

A ranch that used to leave three single eggs every minute now leaves three stacks of ten, once every ten minutes.

  Nothing is added and nothing is taken away. The same output arrives in fewer, larger pieces, and that is the whole point: one stack is one errand for a transport pal, where ten loose items were ten errands.

  Every ranch pal is covered — wool, eggs, milk, honey, leather, horns, bone, venom, elemental organs, cloth, berries, mushrooms, seeds, pal fluid, pal oil, spheres, arrows and gold. Drops that already arrive in stacks, gold among them, are scaled up from whatever they were.

  Settings

  Everything lives in Scripts/config.lua.

  • []BatchSize — how much bigger each stack gets. Default 10.[/]

    []IntervalMultiplier — how much longer each cycle takes. Default 10. Keep it equal to BatchSize to leave total output alone. Lower it for more items per hour, raise it for fewer.[/]

    []ExcludeFamilies — families left at vanilla amounts. { "Money" } keeps gold as it was.[/]

    []SweepIntervalSeconds — how often ranches built during play get picked up. Default 120.[/]

    []Debug — logs every change to UE4SS.log.[/]

    Installing

    Requires UE4SS (the Palworld experimental build).

    Extract into

    Palworld\Mods\NativeMods\UE4SS\Mods\

    so that BulkRanchDrops\Scripts\main.lua exists, then add this line to Mods\mods.txt, above the Keybinds line:

    BulkRanchDrops : 1

    Also on the Steam Workshop, where subscribing is all it takes.

    Notes

    Everything is changed in memory while the game runs. Nothing is written to your save or to the game files, so uninstalling puts everything back exactly as it was.

    Tested in singleplayer.

    On a dedicated server, install it on the server, since that is where drops are decided.

    Multiplayer behavior is based on user reports, since I do not run a server myself.

    Mods that also change ranch drops through DT_ItemLotteryDataTable, such as True Monster Rancher, can conflict. Rows another mod adds get batched too, which is usually what you want, but if the other mod applies its values after this one does, those rows stay at vanilla amounts. Turn on Debug and check the log if a particular drop looks untouched.
