📋 About This Mod
No, this is NOT just another AI upscaled video. This is much, much better.
Main Menu 4K
... is a complete remake of the two main menu video clips "Oblivion iv logo.bik" and "Map loop.bik", which are originally only in 720p and naturally do not look very great on modern high resolution displays. This new version was made by using matching original game textures, scaling them up and animating them into a video that was exported in 3840x2160 and at 60 FPS. The resulting two files together are 422MB large, so be prepared for long download times.
It also includes two DDS textures which should make the oblivon title appear a bit sharper.
-
[]If you notice stutters in your menu with the standard 4K version - There is also a smaller 2K version, which should fix any performance issues.

]If you have an ultrawide display, use the ultrawide version. If you still think that this main menu design is boring even in 4K, check out Super Epic Main Menu at Oblivion Nexus - mods and community (nexusmods.com)
Replaces the old 720p main menu video with a 4K remake. A simple, high-resolution upgrade for players who want a crisper main menu. With 83 endorsements and 32,089 downloads, it's a popular choice for visual polish.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Crisp 4K upgrade for a dated 720p menu—makes a noticeable difference on modern monitors.
- Solid community trust (83 endorsements) and a hefty 32k downloads show it works for many.
- Lightweight and focused—does one thing and does it well.
⚠️ Cons
- Only replaces the menu video—no other UI changes, so don't expect a full overhaul.
- Last updated May 2024—could be outdated if the game has since changed its menu structure.
For players who want a sharper main menu without any gameplay changes. If you're tired of the blurry 720p intro and have a 4K display, this is a quick win. Skip if you're looking for UI overhauls or gameplay tweaks.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to back up the original menu video file before replacing it, so you can revert if needed.
- If the mod doesn't work, check that the file name matches exactly what the game expects.
- This mod is purely cosmetic—it won't affect performance or gameplay, so it's safe to use with other mods.
