📋 About This Mod

Name: Alternatives to death and reload Previously known as: Death has penalties Version: 0. 71 Date: 4 February 2012 Category: Gameplay Effects and Changes Requirements: Oblivion. ESM or Nehrim. ESM, Oblivion Patch 1. 2. 0. 214, Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE): http://obse.silverlock.org/ Optional: Pluggy: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Category:Pluggy for when allowing the mod to work across saved-games (i.e. presets 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10). Oblivion Graphics Extender (OBGE): http://timeslip.users.sourceforge.net/obge.html for ABO\'s Realistic Health low-health shader. Author(s): kuertee ABO for Realisitc Health low-health shader. A cut-down version is used in this mod. But I recommend the use of his full-featured Realistic Health mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21424. Source: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23862 Updates since last release (0. 70): ================================== 0. 71, 4 February 2012: Tweak: Remove reliance on Pluggy. If Pluggy is installed, the mod\'s teleport features will function across game restarts. Without Pluggy, the mod\'s teleport features can only function across game loads. Compatibility: When not in the Tamriel Worldspace (e.g. Nehrim Worldspace), the hard coded teleport destinations are ignored. However, a list of \"safe locations\" are used. Safe locations are interior places with no enemies, at least one friendly NPC and a bed the player can sleep in. The list of safe locations grows as you play. Simply walk into an area you can sleep with at friendly NPCs (e.g. an inn, Guildhouse, etc.) and it will be added to the list. Note, that when first added, this list is empty. And the number of safe locations will be limited and distance between where you died and where you may get teleported to may be great. It\'s best to avoid dying normally, but more so in the early stages of playing with this mod. Bug-fix: Reprogrammed ALL the inn, guild houses, chapels and jail teleport options. A lot of them were buggy - especially teleporting to jail. I tested each of them in this version. Bug-fix: goodSamaritanInDungeons was locked with the selected Preset - contrary to the note in the INI. Its value in the INI are now reflected in the game. Tweak: Added Hours left message in the Death penalties information screen when penaltyLifeSpan is used. Gameplay changes ================ With the default settings: (Preset 6 in the INI:) Your death will be recorded. But roleplay it as if you were simply knocked out. When you load a game that puts you in the wilderness, a good samaritan finds you and takes you to the nearest inn, Guildhouse or chapel. If you have Bounty, you will get put in jail. You will lose up to 500 Gold. Roleplay this loss as payment to a good samaritan or as loot stolen from you. You will lose some days recuperating from your injuries. Because of being close to death, you will receive Dea
