📋 About This Mod
After playing New Vegas and FO3 for so many years, I sort of got over using Pip-Boy replacers and reskins, and just wanted the vanilla Pip-boy, but in a higher resolution. Old, dirty and really roughed up. So that's what this is; the original vanilla game's style, but in 4096 vs the default 1024. There are some other improvements, but overall it should look pretty much like a higher resolution version of the original.
I realize there are already several high quality mods that do something similar, but I retexture stuff for myself as a hobby, and I like to share things on occasion if it comes out well. Check the images tab to see if it's something that you want to use. You will need NVR for the parallax effect to look as intended, and all screenshots were taken with it installed.
Bear in mind that there are still a few caveats. This is just the English PC version of the Pip-boy, so the L and R buttons will not be visible if you are using a controller, but it will still work fine. For other languages; just make a copy of the "English" folder in PC, Xbox or PS3 and rename it to French, German, Italian or Spanish. And finally, like all textures in this game, it will still look terrible when blasted with bright lights. NVR helps with that, but it's mostly unavoidable.
Install using MO2 or however you normally install mods.
A few recommended Pip-Boy enhancing mods: Different PipBoy Animations, FOV Slider and B42 Dynamic Pip-Boy.
A 4096² retexture of the Pip-Boy 3000 that stays true to the vanilla art style. Popular with 636 endorsements and nearly 700k downloads, it's a straightforward visual upgrade for Fallout fans who want sharper details without changing the game's look.

- Solid endorsement ratio (636) indicates community approval
- Vanilla-friendly look means it won't clash with other mods
⚠️ Cons
- Only a texture replacement—no gameplay or model changes
- High-res texture may impact performance on lower-end systems
For Fallout players who want a crisper Pip-Boy without straying from the original design. If you're a purist who loves vanilla aesthetics but hates blurry textures, this is for you. Skip if you want a complete Pip-Boy overhaul with new features or custom colors.
