📋 About This Mod

What is this mod?

This is a re-upload of the Unofficial DarNified UI Update that can be found on ModDB. This unofficial version of the mod was created by the Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW) Team, using the beta veta version of the mod that DarN Created, and includes restored FO3 features that DarN never got around to. It also includes an MCM Menu for customization, numerous bug fixes, and other options.

The overall idea behind this user interface mod is to make the entire menu system easier to read on a PC monitor. Smaller fonts and elements. More detailed information, and better use of the screen 'real estate'. It overhauls more or less all of the menus from the main menu, to the PipBoy menus, the dialogue, containers, crafting and even VATS. See images for examples.

By all accounts, DarN would have been okay with updates, he even says on his Oblivion Nexus page that he really just wants to be notified, which is no longer possible to do, as both the Bethesda Forums & his own site have gone down, and DarN has been missing for a long time at this point. But many of us exclusively use this updated version of his amazing mod, so we've uploaded it here to make it easier for you to experience it too.

Installation

1. Install the DarNified UI using the mod manager of your choice.

2. Install UIO.

3. Install MCM but do not let it overwrite Darn, UIO takes care of this. ie. Select BEFORE in Vortex when a conflict arises.

5. When installing other hud mods read the installation notes for those mods carefully. Only over write the DarN files if the other mod tells you to do so, or has a clearly marked DarNified patch (which should always overwrite both mods).

Older versions of DarN required you to modify in your INI file, this is no longer the case, though if you have a modified INI already, this version will work just fine with it as well.

Compatibility

Do not use with other UI overhauls like VUI+, Revelation, etc. UI Addons like Loot Menu/Just Loot Menu, Enhanced Item Info, etc, should be okay to use. I will add a more detailed list later.
