📋 About This Mod

Description This mod adds a music radio station that plays mostly patriotic Chinese songs from between the late 30s to early 60s. While it falls within the Fallout 3 lore, it may not fit the New Vegas flavor as well as with the original Fallout 3. I\'ve tried to find the oldest/most-original recordings of each song and some, like the Chinese National Anthem, sound very different from the current renditions. ------------------------------------------------------- Update 12/23/2010 I don\'t plan to update this mod any further because it\'s been difficult to find a nice text-to-speech program for a radio jockey and it\'s not popular enough for me to look for a real voice actor/actress or to expand the song list. Thanks to all who\'ve added their recommendations and given their endorsements. Much of what\'s currently available is due to your care and support. I have changed the permissions section to grant free usage and modification rights to anyone who wants to improve it in anyway, no credit required. ------------------------------------------------------- Song List

  • []Tale of the Great Wall - 1937 - oldest song on the list []Tunnel Wars []Flaming Sky (Sunny Day) []Katusha - Though there are countless Chinese versions, the song was originally in Russian. []Let Us Row []Playing My Favorite lute []L\'Internationale - This socialist song obviously comes in many languages. This is a Chinese version. []I\'m a Soldier []Just Like Leifeng []Praises for Heroes []March of the Volunteers - Eventually became the PRC\'s national anthem []Battle Hymn of the Volunteer Army - Famous tune during the Korean War (1950-?) []Defend the Yellow River - Part of the Yellow River Cantata []East is Red - Extended version with mid-song monologue []Strength in Unity []In February []Er Xiao the Little Cattleman []March of the Liberation Army - Became the official song of the PLA []Song of Resistence []Moscow\'s Night - Another Russian favorite []My Motherland []Song of the Guerilla []Workers have the Strength []Stay, Guests from Afar []The Never-setting Sun on the Grassland []Advancing through Snow and Marsh []Rhythmic Waves of Lake Hong []Plum Flower - sadly, I had to drop the Peking Opera version because it didn\'t fit in with the rest of the songs. []We March Up the Broad Road []There is no Renewed China Without the CCP - There is no proper way to translate this title >_< []Southern Mud Cove []Song of the Female Troops - from movie/opera/ballet \"Red Detachment of Women\" []The People\'s Army is Loyal to the Party []The Army Rules - The three major disciplines and eight prudence []Everyone Loves Our Home Village []On Mount Taihang
