The Idea

We wanted to rethink the manner in which Fallout New Vegas treats sex, intercourse, and intimacy. By default, sex is just a simple fade-to-black with next-to-no actual effect on your game experience aside from your own role-playing, extrapolating imagination. There are plenty of animated and pornographic mods out there that have their own solution to this problem, but we wanted to lean into the role-playing element, as we feel that is New Vegas's biggest strength. Not only should sex have at least some effect on the player from a gameplay perspective, but it should have some effect on characterization. If you sleep with someone, odds are you learn something intimate about them. Yet the game leaves that to your imagination. With this mod, you won't need to imagine quite as much.

The Requirements

The first thing this mod fixes is ensuring the correct audio plays when you become intimate with someone. YUP fixes the audio files for many of the eligible characters, but Dazzle and the Westside prostitutes had broken scripts. These were fixed by incorporating Sex Sounds Fix in this mod, which was also made by Yukichigai. (You don't need that mod. It is included.) For this reason, we really recommend that you use YUP with this mod (or YUPTTW), but it is not a strict requirement. The DLCs for New Vegas are only required for the sake of YUP or if they are needed for the various patches.

Also please note that fade-to-black scenes still happen with this mod. It just adds to them. Fade-to-black scenes tend to break with ENBs enabled, unless you have Imod Emulator, a mod that has since been purged from the Nexus. We'd still recommend this mod regardless of that mod or ENB.

When it comes to installation, just install it like any other mod. Data folder. Mod Manager. Etcetera. The only possible conflicts are if another mod edits the scripts of the eligible characters, though this can be fixed with FNVEdit and/or a Merged Patch. We should also say that this would probably conflict disastrously with animated pornographic mods, though we've never tried.
