📋 About This Mod
CLARIFICATION:
This is NOT aiming to address the idle animation drift bug that causes strider caravaneers to fall off over time. Patch for Purists already fixes that. This is a temporary workaround for an OpenMW-specific issue that arises due to how that engine currently calculates actor collisions. This is only a problem in Gnisis. You can test it yourself: launch OpenMW -> New Game -> take the Strider from Seyda Neen to Gnisis -> Punibi is under the platform. Regardless of whether you have PfP or not. I very much imagine a future OpenMW build will fix this properly and make this workaround unnecessary.
Because of some OpenMW bug (unrelated, as far as I can tell, to the idle animation movement issue which usually causes caravaneers to disappear) Punibi Yahaz, the Gnisis caravaneer, always appears below his platform. I think this is because his platform is technically in a different cell so OpenMW is calculating his collision before the platform is loaded in, but I have no evidence of that whatsoever (UPDATE: this merge request fixes the issue, so once that gets into the 0. 48 prereleases, this mod will not longer be necessary). Anyway, this mod fixes it by putting him on the ground just before the little platform. It's an .omwaddon because I decided to try out OpenMW-CS for this one (and there's no need to use this in ClosedMW vanilla).
It'd be much smarter if I could find a way to do this without moving him.
This bug fix addresses a known OpenMW issue where Punibi Yahaz, the Gnisis silt strider caravaneer, falls off his platform. The mod relocates him to dry land to prevent this. It's a simple, targeted fix for OpenMW players experiencing this specific bug.
