Tunes the impact particle effects of guns. Currently AC2 and AC5.
Installation instructions
Unzip into your
\MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries\MW5Mercs\Modsor use a mod manager
What this mod DOES:
Changes the Impact particle effects of guns by editing vanilla effects. V1 focuses on AC2 and AC5.
- Sparks reduced
- Max lifetime massively reduced for a ~0. 5s effect.
- Lifetime reduced for a ~1 sec effect.
What this mod DOESN'T do:
Add new particle effects
Why
AC2s and AC5s are low alpha high dps guns. With the vanilla effects, you get flashbanged by the impact effects whenever you want to shoot your target and even lose your target in all the effects going off whenever you hit them repeatedly.
Compatibility
To ensure maximum compatibility, I had to override vanilla particle effects. Any mod that touches the below assets, this mod will not be compatible with.
