📋 About This Mod
Description
This mod removes all references to the Genesis DLC within Mass Effect 2. It reinstates the original dialogue exchange in the prologue between Miranda and the Illusive Man. Optionally, it eliminates the play Genesis notification pop-up, reverting to the seamless transition of the title card into the Lazarus Project, from the original version of the game. Moreover, it fully restores Miranda's comprehensive interrogation post-Lazarus Station, which includes references to both the Destiny Ascension and the Council, as well as the newly appointed human councilor.
In contrast to the original game, Mass Effect Legendary Edition logs the councilor selection in Mass Effect 1. Consequently, players will not encounter a prompt to elect a councilor; Shepard will automatically remember endorsing a candidate based on their MELE1 decisions. Should players have opted for neutrality, Jacob will intercede, preventing Shepard from responding. In this case, the narrative will default to Udina assuming the role of councilor, which will be recorded in the player's savegame.
The mod does not add any new content, only restores the original experience by using assets already on the game files. Moreover, the mod is fully localized into every language.
