📋 About This Mod

This mod changes the Normandy and Mako in LE1 (and LE2/3, for Normandy Crash Site and Priority: Earth) to use blue decals instead of red. This is to make them consistent with Alliance colours introduced in Mass Effect 3.

Note: This mod does NOT currently edit how the Normandy and Alliance ships appear in pre-rendered cutscenes. This will be coming in the next update.

The mod comes with two modules. One for the Normandy (and LE1 style Alliance ships), and one for the Mako, so you can choose to only recolour one of them or both of them depending on your preferences.

Compatibility

This mod IS compatible with Improved Normandy Crash Site Flashback Textures

This mos IS compatible with SSV Normandy

This mod is NOT compatible with Custom Makos

Installation

  • Use the Mod Manager Download button, or manually drag the . 7z into the ME3Tweaks Mod Manager and install. You must be using 9. 2 or newer, as this mod uses the Texture Override system released in early 2026.

Alliance Vehicle Consistency is a visual mod for Mass Effect that updates the Normandy SR1 and M35 Mako with blue decals, matching the Alliance branding seen in Mass Effect 3. It's a small, focused cosmetic change for players who want visual consistency across the trilogy.

✨ Key Features

Adds blue decals to the Normandy SR1 and M35 Mako
Aligns vehicle branding with Mass Effect 3 Alliance style
Simple visual overhaul with no gameplay changes

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Tidy visual fix for lore sticklers (83 endorsements)
  • Touches both the SR1 and the Mako, so you get consistency across two vehicles
  • Lightweight and focused—no bloat, just decals

⚠️ Cons

  • Small mod with modest traction (83 endorsements, 2.5k downloads)
  • Only affects two vehicles—if you wanted more Alliance branding, this won't cover it
🎯 Is This For You?
For Mass Effect fans who notice the little details and want the SR1 and Mako to match the Alliance look from ME3. If you're after gameplay tweaks or larger overhauls, this isn't for you—it's purely cosmetic.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • If you're using a mod manager like ME3Tweaks Mod Manager, drop the mod in and let it handle the file placement—no manual extraction needed.
  • Make sure you're installing this for the right game (Mass Effect Legendary Edition or original trilogy) to avoid conflicts.
  • Since it's a texture mod, it should be compatible with most other visual mods, but load it after any texture overhauls to ensure the decals stick.
