📋 About This Mod
Makes the nights darker and makes dusks and dawns adapt accordingly to avoid any abrupt lighting changes as well as make everything more atmospheric. The evening smoothly shifts into a dark night where you will appreciate a torch to make
THIS IS NOT A RESHADE.
Make nights darker and enjoy colorful sunrises / sunsets without any ReShade that messes with all other visuals and/or UI elements. These changes are applied dynamically engine-level so they don't cause any crushed blacks or strangely colored suns.

Multiple Intensity Modes
Tailor the darkness to your liking with three built-in modes:
-
[]Default: A balanced, more realistic darkening of the night sky.
[
]Intense: For those who want a darker night. (I prefer this)[]Extreme: True darkness. You will need a torch or the "Nighthawk" potion to see where you're going. Daytime lighting will also be more atmospheric.
Daylight Protection
Some of these settings can influence how daytime visuals are and not everyone wants these to change, an option is built-in to protect the daytime lighting. This causes the intensity curve to be altered so that no matter the intensity setting, your days will remain untouched. (daytime = 10 AM to 6 PM)
If you disable this protection, the lighting of the day will also be altered. Experiment and see what you like best, I play with Daylight Protection off!
Control & Ease of Use
-
[]Polling Frequency: By default, the mod updates every 5 in-game minutes. Using the command in_pollingRate , you can increase or decrease this value. The lower you set the value, the more gradual the lighting will update. The higher the value, the more abrupt the lighting changes can become.
[]Persistence (optional, but recommended): Your selected mode and settings are saved automatically to a local database and will reload whenever you restart the game.
This requires LuaDB by Muyuanjin.[]KCD Menus Integration (optional, but recommended): A dedicated menu will appear automatically in KCD menus, allowing you to toggle debug mode or switch intensities on the fly. Or you can open the dedicated Immersive Nights menu using "F3".
This requires KCD2 Native Menus Framework by TheManualEnhancer.
The keybind can be changed by editing the "immersivenights.cfg" file and setting the keybind to whichever key you want.
Customization
For those who prefer the console to tinker with settings, you can use the following commands:
[]in_mode - Change intensity. Options: Default / Intense / Extreme.
[]in_pollingRate - Adjust update frequency (e.g., 1000 for 1 second, 5000 for 5 seconds). Unless the value is really high, no abrupt lighting changes should occur, unless the weather changes drastically*
[]in_disable - Toggle the mod effects on / off. Default: ON
