New Camp NPC Rebalance

Description

New Camp NPC Rebalance corrects the unusually high durability shared by 15 named New Camp characters in Gothic 1 Remake.

In the unmodified game, all 15 use the same exceptional defensive block:

- 2000 health

- 2000 super armor

- 150 resistance to blunt, edge, point, fire, energy, ice, and wind damage

This makes characters such as Jarvis and the Water Mages dramatically harder to hurt than comparable NPCs. The mod replaces that shared block with complete defensive profiles copied from appropriate Old Camp characters.

The mod changes defensive values only. It does not change NPC level, strength, dexterity, damage, inventory, loot, faction, AI, dialogue, quests, knockout rules, or death rules.

Xardas is intentionally excluded and remains unchanged.

For the regular Water Mages, Torrez was selected because his defensive profile

is the component-wise median of the five non-leader Fire Mages. Saturas uses

Corristo's stronger leader profile.

Installation instructions

1. Install UE4SS for Gothic 1 Remake if it is not already installed.

2. Back up the save you intend to use.

3. Copy the complete `NewCampNPCRebalance` folder into:

`Gothic 1 Remake/G1R/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/`

4. Confirm that this exact file exists:

`G1R/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/NewCampNPCRebalance/Scripts/main.lua`

5. Fully restart the game and load your save.

6. Wait about 20 seconds after gameplay becomes responsive, then save into a

No new game is required. Existing saves are supported.

Later compatible versions may also work, but game updates can rename classes or change their data layout.
