Character Editor
G1R_StatEditor_DRUS — respec your hero: redistribute the learning points you have earned

Why
Gothic is long. Played a warrior and now you want to try the bow, a crossbow or magic? You don't need a new playthrough. Press F3, pick a build, and your learning points (LP) are redistributed the way a teacher would have taught them, but never beyond what your level has earned.
What it does
-
[]Attributes: Strength, Dexterity and Mana. Use −5 / − / + / +5; Shift+click goes all the way. Str <> Dex buttons swap the invested points of two attributes, so a Strength build becomes a Dexterity build in one click.[/]
[]Skills: one-handed, two-handed, bow, crossbow, fists, magic circles (novice and circles 1–6), lockpicking, pickpocketing, acrobatics, climbing, diving, smithing, alchemy, runes, hunting trophies. Click the level you want.[/]
[]8 one-click builds: Swordsman, Greatsword, Archer, Crossbowman, Mage, Battlemage, Rogue, Ranger. They are fitted to your level: a level-5 archer gets bow training and some Dexterity, a level-30 archer gets bow mastery and a lot of Dexterity.[/]
[]Your own builds: 3 slots. Save stores the current draft; loading fits it to the current budget.[/]
[]Draft first: nothing changes in the game until you press Apply. The window shows the LP budget bar and a "What changes" list. Undo restores the hero as before the last Apply.[/]
[]RU / EN / 中文 buttons switch the language instantly; by default it follows the game.[/]
[]Essences are shown apart: points from permanent potions (essences, extracts, elixirs) and quest rewards are drawn in gold on the attribute bar, with "+N" next to the value and a "potions +N" line. They can never be refunded or moved, and they come on top of the teachers' 100.[/]
Rules (the same as the teachers')
-
[]Only what your level earned. 10 LP per level; there is no other LP source in the game. The mod refunds only what was paid to teachers, and never more than your levels earned.[/]
[]Free points stay. Your start values, essences and quest rewards (e.g. Horatio's +5 Strength) are never refunded. For Strength and Dexterity the game's own teacher counters tell bought points from essences exactly. Max Mana has no such counter: the editor uses the fact that every mana essence adds an even amount and asks the game's dialog memory which lessons were really bought; when the game cannot tell, the Max Mana split is marked with ≈.[/]
[]Prices: 1 LP per attribute point. Teachers stop at 100; essences come on top, so the cap is 100 plus your essences (e.g. 108 after a +8 essence), whatever order you drank them in. Skills cost what teachers charge: one-handed/bow/crossbow 10 + 20, two-handed 30 + 40, lockpicking/pickpocketing 10 + 20, acrobatics 10, circles 10/15/20/25/30/40, and so on.[/]
[]Requirements are kept automatically: two-handed needs one-handed master, circles go in order.[/]
[]Free lessons are never refunded: the free one-handed training on Novice difficulty stays and costs 0; Cavalorn's free Fur is not touched.[/]
[]Ore is neither charged nor refunded; the editor works with LP only.[/]
How it works
-
[]Skills are set with the game's own skill effects (the same ones teachers apply), and the game saves them like learned skills: changes survive saving and loading.[/]
[]Attributes are changed through the game's ability system, so ring and amulet bonuses stay on top and the HUD updates.[/]
[]Apply is blocked during dialogues, cutscenes, trading, lockpicking and (optionally) combat.[/]
[]Every step is read back from the game. A step that fails never costs LP, and a refund that fails never pays for a purchase.[/]
Requirements
-
[]UE4SS for Gothic 1 Remake. Tested with the "UE4SS - AngelScript Fix" build (UE4SS v3. 0. 1).[/]
[]Optional: SharedModMenu. The editor adds its own tab there (F2): open the editor, attribute cap, apply in combat.[/]
Installation
[]Install UE4SS for Gothic 1 Remake.[/]
[]Extract the archive into G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\. You should end up with ...\ue4ss\Mods\G1R_StatEditor_DRUS\Scripts\main.lua and ...\ue4ss\Mods\G1R_StatEditor_DRUS\enabled.txt. You don't need to edit mods.txt.[/]
[*]Start the game. UE4SS.log shows [G
