Gearsmith - Improved Optimize

Gearsmith replaces the plain Optimize command in Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age with a proper one. Instead of a single fixed result, you pick what the set should be built around, and the game equips the best it can find for that attribute.

The game's original Optimize is still there, at the top of the list, so nothing is taken away.

How It Works

Open the Equipment menu and select Optimize. A short list appears. Choose an entry and the character is equipped with the set that pushes that attribute as high as it goes, with ties broken by the overall better set.

  Configuration

  Mod Config Menu Compatible.

  Every attribute can be turned on or off in Mod Config > Gearsmith - Improved Optimize.

  You can configure things like whether Charge Time, Knockback or Combo / Critical show up at all, keeping the ones you actually use and dropping the rest so the list stays short. Set an attribute to Show to keep it in the Optimize list, or Hide to drop it. Your choices are saved and persist between sessions.

  Installation Methods

  If you already have a mod manager, skip straight to the files section. Otherwise, there are a few ways to install it.

  Vortex Mod Manager

  If you don't have Vortex, download it from Nexus Mods.

  Option 1, One-Click Install

    Option 2, Manual Install

    • []Download the mod file[/]

      []Open Vortex[/]

      []Drag and drop the file into Vortex or click "Install From File"[/]

      Compatibility

      The interface is currently only available in English, but other languages may be added in the future.

      This mod may not be fully compatible with all overhauls.
