📋 About This Mod
Ultimist's High Detailed Map PLUS
Ultimist's High Detailed Map PLUS uses a new 8k map texture (8192 x 8192 pixels). The vanilla map is 4k (4096 x 4096), and yet lacks sharpness and detail. When you zoom in to a location on the vanilla map, it starts to pixelate due to the game's basic scaling algorithm.
With this mod, your map won't look pixelated when fully zoomed in. It should also look great on 4k displays! The screenshots speak for themselves.
IMPORTANT NOTE!
There's a new method to make my mod work, and it works with Patch 8.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 3,552 endorsements and 126,398 downloads show it's a go-to map mod.
- 8k texture genuinely fixes the pixelation issue when zooming in—screenshots confirm the difference.
- Optional resource deposit markers are a godsend for camp builders and gatherers.
⚠️ Cons
- Manual INI editing is required—easy to mess up if you're not careful with the archive list.
- Last updated in 2019, so it may not be compatible with the latest game patches without tweaks.
- The resource deposit list only goes up to Silver (22) in the description—no info on rarer deposits like Gold or Ultracite.
For Fallout 76 players who hate the blurry vanilla map and want a crisp, detailed view when zooming in. Also for resource hunters who want to spot every deposit at a glance. Skip if you're fine with the default map or don't want to fiddle with INI files.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Back up your Fallout76Custom.ini before editing, and make sure to keep any other mod archive references in the same line.
- If you're using a mod manager, you can still install the files manually—just drop the ba2 into your Data folder and edit the INI.
- Test the map in-game after installing; if it doesn't load, double-check that the archive name matches exactly (UHDmap.ba2).
