📋 About This Mod

Requirement : Address Library for F4SE Plugins (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47327)

Uneducated Reload

When you reload a gun, the bullet stays in the chamber so you should be getting an extra round.

In Fallout 4 however, you don't.

This plugin aims to fix that issue and adds one round to the ammo count when you do a partial reload.

I might add more features in the future but that's all for now.

BUT not all guns should do this either. Let's say: a revolver.

You shouldn't be getting an extra round with revolvers.

I tried to come up with a way to figure out the patterns but it's just a case-by-case thing.

So, I've added a keyword in UneducatedReload.esm called ChamberExclusion.

Add this keyword to the guns that shouldn't get an extra round using FO4Edit.

Lightweight gameplay modification

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-tested with 563 endorsements and over 13k downloads
  • Simple concept that adds a subtle tactical advantage
  • Tiny plugin that won't bloat your load order

⚠️ Cons

  • Only works with F4SE, so you're locked out if you're on the Epic Games version or don't want to use script extender
  • Last updated in 2022, so it might not be compatible with the latest Fallout 4 patches
  • The extra bullet might feel cheesy for purists who want a more hardcore experience
🎯 Is This For You?
For Fallout 4 players who use F4SE and want a small quality-of-life tweak that rewards partial reloads. It's perfect for those who like to top off their magazine mid-fight and want a little extra ammo. Skip if you're on a non-F4SE setup or prefer unmodified gameplay.
📦 Install:Medium· 5-10 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have F4SE installed and launch the game through the F4SE loader, not the default launcher.
  • If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, install the plugin through the manager to keep your load order clean.
  • Check the mod's posts or comments for any known compatibility notes with other F4SE plugins.
