📋 About This Mod

  • []Description:

This mod merges the 1st person's RootBehavior with EWS, Tactical Reloads, See-Thought Scopes events/variables, along with some events from my mods to prevent future incompatibilities and conflicts. This may also fix some issues as some of them were not fully merged before; Recommended to load it at the end of your load-order, allowing it to overwrite other mods (giving a higher priority). Should not cause any problems even if you don't have all/any of the mods listed above installed. Neither of these mods is required.

  • []What does this mod do:

This mod only merges the Animation Events and Variables from these mods, which are usually defined in RootBehavior.hkx. There's only one file in the vanilla game like this and you cannot separate it for each mod, it has to be a replacer for the vanilla file. So because of this, it always needs to be patched for other mods that add their own animevents or variables. I just tried to merge the most popular of them.

For example, if you load EWS after STS or vise versa, it may cause functionality from STS or EWS to not work properly because EWS RootBehavior was not patched for STS; or let's say I release a mod that has its own AnimEvents and instead of patching that file for every mod listed above, I'll just maintain the current one.

And once again, to make things clear, this mod doesn't merge or affect the functionality of these mods.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge adoption: 466k downloads and 3.2k endorsements show it's a go-to fix for animation conflicts.
  • Directly addresses compatibility between EWS, Tactical Reloads, and See-Through Scopes—three mods many players stack.
  • Actively maintained (updated July 2025), so it keeps pace with mod updates.

⚠️ Cons

  • Niche use: only relevant if you run those specific animation mods—otherwise it does nothing for you.
  • Merging RootBehavior can potentially conflict with other mods that edit the same file, so you need to manage load order carefully.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who use EWS, Tactical Reloads, or See-Through Scopes and want to avoid animation glitches or crashes. Also for mod authors who want a stable base for their own animation patches. Skip if you don't use those mods—this won't change your game.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Place this mod after the animation mods it merges in your load order to ensure its changes take priority.
  • If you use a mod manager, let it overwrite when prompted—this mod is meant to replace the conflicting files.
  • Check the mod page for any specific load order instructions, as animation mods can be picky.
