📋 About This Mod
★ About ★
This is a F4SE plugin that allows you to disable the hardcoded vision-obscuring shader effect at various workbenches. Now you can actually see what you're crafting!
Apart from completely disabling the highlight, the plugin also allows you to change the highlight type for the Power Armor station and robot workbench to a outline-only shader instead of a full shader.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 37,338 endorsements and 2.7M downloads.
- Solves a real annoyance—no more squinting through a blurry shader while crafting.
- Gives you control over the shader for Power Armor and robot stations, not just standard workbenches.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires F4SE, so you'll need to install and maintain that dependency.
- Last updated June 2026, but if the game updates, F4SE might break and this mod could need a patch.
For Fallout 4 players who spend a lot of time at workbenches and hate the screen-obscuring effect. If you're a modder or power user who already runs F4SE, this is a no-brainer. Skip if you rarely craft or don't want to bother with F4SE dependencies.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have F4SE installed and launch the game through f4se_loader.exe, not the default launcher, or the mod won't work.
- If you use a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2, install the mod through it to keep your load order clean.
- Check the mod's forum posts or comments for any known compatibility issues with other crafting UI mods before adding it to a heavy mod list.
