📋 About This Mod
I made this out of boredom and mainly for myself, but I thought I might drop it here as well.
There are so many texture mods to replace in-game textures and a bunch of mods which provide alternative main menu backgrounds. But none of those tackle the washed-out background of the main menu and loading screens, they either replace it or leave it untouched. I'm here to change this.
I remade the vanilla background from scratch and doubled the resolution. And I already scaled up some other important slides ("Please stand by" for example). See pictures for comparison.
The new background is suitable for 1080p and should look better than vanilla even on 1440p and 4K.
Works great with:
- []HD Main Menu - Pause - Loading Screens - DLC by Ch1mpanZey
- []Remove Glare From Loading Screens by hairylegs222 or...
- Better Loading Glare by DeathclawAlpha
Crisp Main Menu by crawler34 upgrades the main menu and some title card textures to 2048x1024, doubling the original resolution. A simple visual enhancement for Skyrim players wanting sharper UI elements, with 855 endorsements and over 103k downloads.

⚠️ Cons
- Only covers the main menu and some title cards, not all UI elements.

For Skyrim players who want a sharper main menu without overhauling the entire UI. If you're tired of blurry menu art and want a quick visual boost, this is for you. Skip if you're looking for comprehensive UI changes or play on a version released after 2018.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Place the textures in your Data folder or use a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2.
- If you use a mod manager, enable the mod after other UI mods to ensure it overwrites correctly.
- Check if your Skyrim version is compatible—this mod hasn't been updated since 2018, so test it with your current setup.
