📋 About This Mod
allows you to configure your characters movespeed with options for general speed, gradient weight scaling, weight tier modifiers, sneak modifier, jump modifier, and sprint/run/walk modifiers
modify values at the top of the file to configure things as you like, this mod should modify sneak, general, and jump movement
modular and also compatible with my other mods
this mod comes with default values and will need to be configured to change your speed
to configure: open the provided file SpeedConfig.lua in mod/action/script/modules and adjust these values at the top of the file:
--1 is 1x or 100 percent for most values
--general modifier
scgeneralspeed = 1
--light weight tier modifier
sclightspeed = 1
--medium weight tier modifier
scnormalspeed = 1
--heavy weight tier modifier
scheavyspeed = 1
--overweight tier modifier
scoverweightspeed = 1
--sprint modifier
scsprintspeed = 1
--run/default modifier
scrunspeed = 1
--walk modifier
scwalkspeed = 1
--sneak modifier
scsneakspeed = 1
--jump modifier
scjumpspeed = 1
--chargejumppower only applies if using my double jump mod
scchargejumppower = 1. 6
--gradient reduction is disabled if scgradientredux is less than 1, this uses weight ratio to reduce the value to create gradient scaling
--at 1, 0percent equipweight ratio would be 1x final speed, at 100percent it would either be 0x or very close, the ratio calculation is not 1 to 1 of just your equipweight ratio but is accurate enough
scgradientredux = 0
------------
these are the config settings I use for example:
--1 is 1x or 100 percent for most values
--general modifier
scgeneralspeed = 0. 9
--light weight tier modifier
sclightspeed = 1
--medium weight tier modifier
scnormalspeed = 1
--heavy weight tier modifier
scheavyspeed = 1
--overweight tier modifier
scoverweightspeed = 1
--sprint modifier
scsprintspeed = 1. 11
--run/default modifier
scrunspeed = 1
--walk modifier
scwalkspeed = 1
--sneak modifier
scsneakspeed = 0. 9
--jump modifier
scjumpspeed = 1
--chargejumppower only applies if using my double jump mod
scchargejumppower = 2. 1
--gradient reduction is disabled if scgradientredux is less than 1, this uses weight ratio to reduce the value to create gradient scaling
--at 1, 0percent equipweight ratio would be 1x final speed, at 100percent it would either be 0x or very close, the ratio calculation is not 1 to 1 of just your equipweight ratio but is accurate enough
scgradientredux = 1. 42

Modular Speed Config lets you tweak character movement speed with options for general speed, gradient weight scaling, weight tier modifiers, and sprint/run/walk/jump/sneak modifiers. Edit values at the top of the file to customize. A niche tool for players wanting precise control over movement.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Gives you granular control over every movement type—sprint, run, walk, jump, sneak—so you can fine-tune the feel exactly how you like
- Simple text-file editing means no in-game menus or complex UI to wrestle with; just open, tweak, and go
- Small but active user base (31 endorsements) suggests it works for those who need it
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated September 2025—might not be compatible with future game patches, so keep an eye on updates
- Requires manual editing of config files, which can be intimidating if you're not comfortable with text editors
For players who want precise control over movement speed, like tweaking sprint speed for a more challenging or relaxed playthrough. Skip if you prefer plug-and-play mods or don't want to fiddle with config files.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Open the config file with a text editor like Notepad++ to avoid formatting issues
- Make a backup of the original file before changing values so you can revert if something goes wrong
- Test changes in a new game or save to avoid ruining your main playthrough
