📋 About This Mod

This mod is part of a series of mods called "They're Masterworks All". It contains changes to augments. Depending on the version used, it may not be pawn safe.

They're Masterworks All (it has a longer name, if you can guess), is a series of mods aiming to address/fix the issues.. that I find to be issues.. within Dragon's Dogma II and to provide a more enjoyable experience. It is a loose continuation of my mods from DD:DA, which were not really the same.

In regards to game balance and caring about it, I'm in the middle. I don't like to be extremely overpowered but I.. also.. I want a little power fantasy, I want cool things. Feedback is accepted, if it's written decently. I will try to respect balance when it's appropriate but don't have high hopes.

In Dragon's Dogma, there are 63 augments or 9 for each vocation. With Dark Arisen, that count goes to 77. It added a bunch of secret augments available through BBI grinding. They weren't immaculate, but they were pretty good. Dragon's Dogma Online (via private server) has too many to count and it's an MMO so it's a different story. In Dragon's Dogma II, they simplified it. There are 47 augments, or 5 for each vocation (excluding Warfarer). They simplified to the point where some of them honestly aren't that good.

My primary goal is to make as many augments as possible worth using despite their lower count. The more augments you need to think about while trying to perfect your build, the better. I want you to be like, "There are too many good choices, I can't decide". If you aren't thinking about an augment or not using one in your setup, it should be because it doesn't help you or isn't applicable, rather than it sucks fucking dick.

My secondary goal is to ensure they aren't too overkill, depending on what they are, how much they cost, etc. If you are curious, yes, Augmented Augments was a reference point over a year ago when this mod was first made.

Fighter

- Provocation is untouched. I don't think you can go over 100%. I don't want to risk doing so.

- Mettle was already good as is, but I decided to slightly nerf it since it's only Rank 2. Instead of 30% + 45, it is 20% + 45. In other words, DEF * 1. 2 + 45.

- Thew was solid as is, but I wanted to match it with DD:DA's Sinew. It increases Carry Weight by 20KG.

- Dominion looks like an awful augment. I don't know the timings enemies/pawns have to escape from grabs and pins, but this only added 2 more seconds on top of that. It now adds 20 seconds on top. Mmh?

- Diligence is untouched. I know it's two values, downed and crawling.. and in seconds but I need testing. Or someone can suggest something.

Archer

- Ambuscade is basically more damage to incapacitated enemies and such. Think of it like a stealth crit attack. Not going to do Skyrim levels. I've increased it from 10% to 30%.

- Endurance was made to match Vitality. It increases yo
