📋 About This Mod

Master swordsman froman unknown land, finds his way as the one true king

A vocation focused on slower, thoughtful attacks and reacting to enemy blows through the use of blocks.

Fluffy Mod Manager (Recommended)

Install SkillMaker and all its dependencies (Make sure Skillmaker, Reframework and Scriptcore are all updated)

Drag and drop Swordsman.zip into Fluffy Mod Manager

Select the Swordsman Skillset in SkillMaker, checkbox 'Clear Skills on Load' and 'Load with Controls'

SkillMaker Settings:

A minimum of 42 'Max Skills' required, make sure to load controls with the skillset.

If some skills aren't working properly or are being used on incorrect inputs; double check that they match the keybinds here as modifiers can sometimes carry over from other skillsets, causing trouble.

!!Animation Fix!!

Most skills in this vocation use custom motions on-top of base game animations and won't work until the original animation is played.

Skill 42 (Swordsman\FixTest) will play each animation and should solve the animation issues but will need to be used on every character reload (death/game reload) so it is advised to have it on an input that can be used semi frequently without affecting normal gameplay.

Enemy Skills

You'll need to setup the enemy skills for 'Piercing Shadow' to work properly.

To do this you need to:

Go into Enemy Skills

Find 'Lost Mercenary' and 'Rogue' inside the Bandits enemy folder

Load 'Swordsman' Skillset within both of them.

There should be 1 skill on both Lost Mercenary and Rogue.

I switched Grab to RT and Switch Weapon Skill to LT because I personally dislike using the bumpers.

If you want to use base game mappings you can, but make sure that:

Modifier/Inhibit + Special Iai Stance and skills underneath are set to RB

2nd modifier + Iai stances are set to LB.

Recommended/Required Mods:

Custom Difficulty Tweaks: Enemies die too quickly without adjusting health/damage taken

Lock-On Combat with Dodge: Many useful tools, but specifically changing camera distance and freeing up a button (Right Joystick Click) by disabling Camera Reset.

Beastiarium: Vanilla enemy aggression is a little too passive and as this vocation focuses on blocking enemy attacks.. make it more challenging/fun by adding more enemy attacks and increased aggression!

Skills:Attacks and Iai
