📋 About This Mod
Restricted areas will no longer have clothing/uniform requirements. Pawns can also join you in traveling in those areas.
You guys should join Nick's discord server - you're more likely to get a response from me there.
Requires RE Framework.
You can now freely enter restricted areas that require you to wear certain equipment. No need to get formal attire, and no need to wear uniforms. There's also an option that allows your pawns to accompany you in restricted areas. You can configure which options you like enabled - just go to "diacyst/Config" to find the designated file. .
FEATURES AND NOTES
-
[]No Formal Attire not only affects entry to the Masquerade, but it also affects the Feast of Deception cutscene as well as Myrddin's first impressions of you. You also don't even need to wear any masks in the Masquerade.[/]
[]No Uniform affects 3 zones: Vernworth Castle, Vernworth Gaol, and Forbidden Magick Research Lab. Those are the only areas that require you to wear certain pieces of equipment. For the Forbidden Magick Research Lab, you still need to have the Battahl Residence Permit to enter safely - the game handles item requirements a tad more strictly compared to equipment requirements.[/]
[]No Pawn Standby allows pawns to walk in restricted areas. Do mind that pawns can appear in events they're not supposed to be in - one known example is the flashback when you fight the Dragon in Melve - the night when he stole your heart. It's disabled by default, because there is a bug preventing you from commanding your pawns if you enable it while in a restricted area. If you mistakenly do so, find a riftstone then enter the rift - big thanks to Mura for telling me this![/]
[]No Formal Attire and No Uniform can affect how people talk to you - they'll say that you don't belong and that you shouldn't be there. NPCs that give you quests won't interact with you, because you're not wearing the designated equipment. A known example is Gunther, who starts the quest A Noble Exchange - he ignores you if you're not wearing any official formal attire. I suggest you carry the required equipment along with you if you want to take those quests.[/]
Credit for the No Pawn Standby feature goes to Geonode and their Pawn Standby Disabler - I modified it as well as removed the code that doesn't handle area-based standby states. I asked for permission weeks ago but I haven't heard from them since then. I've decided to push the update with that feature, but I'll remove it as soon as I'm able if Geonode contacts me to take it down.
Hats off to Arrythmia for instructing how to handle some bugs they found in this mod that can cause crashes, due to how RE engine's garbage collector works.
Thanks go to Mura Casardis, squirchupuff, and other members in Dullahan's Hut for giving feedback and tolerating me while I worked on this mod.
