📋 About This Mod

K10VZYV-wac

  • []New enemies with their own moveset, abilities, strengths, weaknesses and colors.[/]

[]Some of them are inspired by previous games in the series, while some are original.[/]

INSTALLATION

ABOUT DIFFICULTY

  • []It's highly recommended to use this mod only after reaching NG+. The purpose of Apex is to add even more variants that are scaled higher than vanilla enemies even early in the game. As a result, it's not balanced for a fresh playthrough at all.[/]

[]Do not provide feedback about the difficulty if you're playing solo, doing challenge runs, using Skill Maker movesets, or using extreme difficulty presets in CDT/SDT. You might want to adjust your preset when using Bestiary. Using Lenient Stagger and Exhaustion is also highly recommended, so you should consider trying it before criticizing the difficulty, since both Bestiary and Apex have been balanced with it in mind.[/]

MODULARITY

  • []You can open Bestiary_ApexAddon/Config.lua script to turn off individual variants by setting them from = true to = false.[/]

ENEMY VARIANTS

Harpies come in all shapes and colors, yet t'would seem they all share a common trait: being the utmost nuisance. The Grim Harpy may hold the ability to put us to sleep e'en more effectively, but fire shall silence it all the same.

  • []Stronger, tougher and bigger than Harpy[/]

[]Can shoot dark bolts and sleeping bolt[/]

[]Resistant to ice and lightning, but weak to fire and holy[/]

[]Stronger at night and in the UW [/]

GIANT SLIME FAMILY

Coming face to face with a slime can quickly take a turn for the worse if unprepared with magicks, 'tis especially true when they're gigantic. Their size don't come with any changes to their weakness, however, so one must quickly exploit it, otherwise it will divide and conquer.

  • []Significantly bigger and tougher, but much slower than regular counterpart[/]

    []Cannot be staggered[/]

[]Can use mitosis, reducing in size each time it happens[/]

GRIM SAURIAN

Clad in dark scales, the Grim Saurian is a swift creature who prefer hunting under the darkness of night. It shares the same territory as its cousin, so one must be vigilant when stumbling upon their den.

  • []Stronger, tougher and faster than Saurian[/]

[]Resistant to fire and lightning, but weak to ice and holy[/]

[]Stronger at night and in the UW [/]

    []Gains Dark Stab in UW[/]

STYGIAN SAURIAN

Most records of dark magicks may have been lost, but their traces curiously linger in this realm within monsters. 'Tis more reason to ne'er underestimate any stygian creatures, for they harness abilities beyond our ken. Perhaps they represent the key to harness such powers once more.

[]Stronger, tougher and bigger than Grim Saurian[/]

[]Cannot be grabbed/pinned down or ragdolled, and continues to use spear even with tail cut off[/]

[]Can use a few dark spells[/]

[]Immune to Unconscious & Ice-Bound[/]

[*]Resistant to fire and lightning, but weak to ice and holy[/size

  • Fills a gap for NG+ players who want tougher, more varied enemies
  • Built as an expansion, so it respects the original mod's vision

⚠️ Cons

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have the base Bestiary mod installed and updated before adding this expansion.
