📋 About This Mod
I was just recently experimenting with ReShade for the first time ever, and came up with these little tweaks, which I ended up enjoying a lot!
When taking screenshots, I tend to gravitate toward slightly washed-out or muted colors, mostly cooler tones, very bright skies. So, that was my focus while creating this ReShade preset. Due to the very bright areas here and there, however, this would probably be better suited for just screenshotting purposes for many people. Also, because this is the first time I am both using ReShade and creating a ReShade preset at all, as well as uploading a ReShade file here, I wanted it to hopefully be something a bit simpler as well that is mainly geared toward screenshotting. Be gentle with me, pls!
Although some of these screenshots were taken with DAI Cinematic Tools, they were not altered at all, except for the portrait shot of Cole, which only uses DOF to blur the tents in the background.
How to Install ReShade:
-
[]You must first download ReShade from here.
[
]Download this preset.[]Upon opening the ReShade setup tool, it will prompt you to find your DragonAgeInquisition.exe, similar to how you found it for DAI Mod Manager. (Program Files -> Origin Games -> Dragon Age Inquisition).
[]You will then be able to select Direct3D 10+ from the listed options.
[]Download the offered shaders. This preset only uses Eye Adaptation, Ambient Light, Bloom and Lens flare, HDR, Levels, Technicolor, Filmic Pass, and Technicolor 2 from that loooong list, however. Unzip and add this preset file into the folder that contains the DragonAgeInquisition.exe (you should see the new ReShade folders there now as well).
[]After downloading the shaders offered from ReShade, you will then be prompted to customize your paths for screenshots, presets, shaders, effects...
- If you start up your game and it pretty much immediately closes, you may need to change the dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll (in the same folder that contains the DragonAgeInquisition.exe and new ReShade files). Otherwise, there will be a notification at the top of your game screen letting you know ReShade is working, and you will be led through a brief tutorial. The game should also look like my screenshots.
