📋 About This Mod
Description
Adding some unused GLORYKILL animation. Please note: the glory kill animations can currently only be triggered from the front of Heavy and Super Heavy demons. It's unclear at this point whether this may cause bugs or conflicts with other mods. Use with caution.
Updates 1
In the new update, the trigger conditions for the hidden animations have been aligned with the front 'Death from Above' execution. So now, when you perform an airborne execution on a demon from the front, the game will randomly select either the vanilla Death from Above animation or one of the several hidden animations. And all of the original 'Death from Above' executions have been restored.
Update 2
In the latest Hidden Front Executions — Hidden Sync-Strike file, with the spear equipped, you can trigger unused sync-strike animations on the Hell Knight, Acolyte, and Mancubus. They're a bit rough around the edges, but still pretty interesting.
The next update will address four things:
-
[]Fix the Acolyte execution issue.[/]
[]Fix the issue where executing a Baron directly provides an upgrade material.[/]
[]Add sound effects and blood/gore VFX at appropriate frames (this one is not guaranteed to be fully fixed).[/]
Update 3
-
[]I've added sound effects and gore effects to those glory kill animations that previously had no audio.[/]
[]The execution conditions in this version are now more intuitive — they can be triggered from the front. For Super Heavy demons, holding the spear triggers a spear execution, and holding the shield triggers a shield execution. (Whiplash and Arachnotron still require a front-facing jump execution. Tyrant has no front-facing shield execution.)[/]
[]I've added the edited leader executions into some demons' execution animation pools, so they can now be triggered. However, there's a noticeable side effect: after death, it takes a few seconds before the loot drop appears. If you don't like this, I'll remove them.[/]
[]If you find that some executions' sound effects or gore effects don't look/sound good, let me know and I'll change them.[/]
[]More execution animations may be added later — the current variety is now comparable to Doom Eternal.[/]
