AdamFreefall DMC1 RetroCRT ReShade

Description

This is a custom CRT Reshade I made & used during my YouTube playthrough of Devil May Cry: 1 on the HD Collection.

I designed this specifically to compliment the improved textures of the DMC:1 HD Texture Pack by (TheGrimm85) to bring back that classic PS2 look without overshadowing the remastered textures since sadly the standard HDC textures still leave a lot to be desired on most modern displays...

Installation instructions

To use this mode you first have to install Reshade but sadly with the DMC (HD Collection) if you want to use the other mods alongside it you'll also have to download & install SpecialK to use as a hook for injecting the textures & Using ReShade at the same time.

Sorry I can't fully explain how to do that but there should at least be plenty of resources out there to tell you how since almost all texture mods for these games (to my knowledge) require it but whether you want to mod the game's models and/or textures or not. 

Once you have that sorted you can set up Reshade, add the game & (after making a folder for the Preset in the games directory) select the preset & install. once complete you can adjust the parameters of the preset to fit your needs in game by pressing the "home" or "Hm" button on your keyboard.

Main features

Gives the game a subtle CRT look with more bleak & oppressive colour grading to help maintain a retro feel while helping to smooth out the gaged edges of the PS2 era model quality for higher resolutions!

Requirements

ReShade & for those who want to use this alongside other mods, SpecialK because Reshade & any additional mods simply will not play ball without it when used together.
